About Me

Who am I?

I have over 20 years experience in fitness instruction, coaching and training. I work with individuals and groups to achieve their fitness or athletic goals with important emphasis on safety and continued personal growth.

My commitment to ongoing professional development ensures that I bring the latest in technique and information to my clients.

I become personally invested in my clients’ goals and celebrate their successes with them. My approach is always personalized whether in a 1:1 training session, a small or large group program, or in creating a goal-specific training plan. Understanding a whole person – what they strive to achieve, where they are on their fitness journey, how much time they can dedicate to their fitness, and other health/lifestyle factors get the best results possible!

Everything is possible with the right training plan and fitness partner!

What is my passion?

Seeing people explore and achieve their fitness potential inspires me! I left the corporate world to pursue my passion of helping others become the healthiest, happiest versions of themselves.

I am also passionate about giving back to the community and to charitable causes. Giving back is very important to me.  Since the early 1990s I’ve trained cyclists to safely complete the City to Shore bike ride (160 miles) which benefits MS, and, collectively we have contributed over $250,000 to the cause. In 2007, along with some fellow athletes, I started an all-women's training group called Racey Women. It is a group where women can train together and/or race together. It is for all levels and ages and for every sport. Many of our activities revolve around charities – we raise money for them, volunteer at their events and contribute personally.

Each year I am inspired by Special Olympics’ triathletes and am privileged to help coach them for their annual indoor triathlon. More recently I had the opportunity to serve as a race director for the inaugural outdoor Special Olympics triathlon.

What lies ahead?

There are always new challenges ahead and I embrace them as they come!

Winter always brings about new goals and it traditionally lends itself to the formation of a marathon or half marathon training group! It’s a great way to keep the winter doldrums at bay – and ensure that we hold one another accountable!

For the past 8 years, each summer I’ve led a group of women in an 8 week triathlon training program that incorporates the three event disciplines as well as nutrition, and the mental readiness that is required to accomplish one’s first triathlon. In total, over 140 women have participated – these annual teams are a highlight of my year! Greeting them at the finish line of their first triathlon – or at their first triathlon of a greater distance than the year before is a privilege!

In addition to my USAT coaching certification, I recently achieved a USAT a USAT certification and I am looking forward to expanding into new opportunities that will surely combine my love for events and my passion for the athletes who participate in them.
